Everyone has 24 hours a day. So, why some people achieve their goals, and others don’t?
I think, the ones that achieve their goals, understood the real value of time, and more than that, they learned how to manage it effectively.
So, let’s dive into the 10 effective time management tips to maximize your time and boost your productivity:

1.Set clear goals
The first thing that you need to have is a clear and strong goal.
The reason why having goals in life, whether is a short term or a long term ones, it facilitates you to distinguish between what’s important and what’s not.
You can’t figure out what needs to be done, only when you know where you want to go.
Once you are clear about your goals, know it’s easy to plan and prepare a set of actions to achieve them.
2.Make a to-do list
A To-do list it’s a powerful tool to keep you on track to achieve your goals.
A To-do list can improve your productivity by 20 per cent, help to clear your mind, and save you energy and stress.

So, begin your day by spending five to ten minutes planning your tasks for the day or, you can make your list the evening before.
Write out your tasks either on paper, your computer, or your phone. Break down large tasks into smaller parts, chunk them down into manageable units that don’t feel too overwhelming, and focus on one at a time.
As you finish your tasks, check them off.
There’s a good chance you won’t get everything on your to-do list done, but make sure you get the most important things done.
That means you have to prioritize the tasks on your list and figure out what is actually most important, as well as most urgent.
To facilitate the process, I suggest you to use Eisenhower Box to categorize the urgent and important tasks and eliminate the ones that waste your time and don’t bring any value.
So, after classifying your tasks, it’s going to be easy for you to know which tasks you can focus on, and the ones you have to avoid at all cost or postpone them in a certain time.
4.Make a schedule
After you listed out your most important tasks, you need to schedule them in your calendar for the day and for the week.
Don’t forget to include time for breaks and emergencies as well.
The schedule needs to be realistic, with tacking account of interruptions and unscheduled events.
Procrastination it’s a major obstacle that a lot of people encounter to achieve their desires.
If you are a procrastinator, take some time to reflect on the main causes why you’re putting things off.

First, turn off your email notification or and switch your phone on a plane mode.
Next, you need to give yourself solid portions of time to focus on your work.
After you finished your most important tasks, then you can read and respond to emails.
7.Track you time.
It’s important to track your daily activities and know how much time each takes.
This will give you an accurate view of how you spend your time, as well as what interruptions there are.
Also by tracking your time, you can know what your energy levels and focus are like at different times of the day.
This will allow you to figure out which activities you should be doing at what time of day.
8. Take regular breaks
Breaks are very important. They will keep your mind fresh and focused.
If you work straight through, you will put in more hours but work less productively.
You can use the Pomodoro technique to stick to chosen break times, very powerful to increase your productivity.
The bottom line is to you work in 25-minute blocks (Pomodoros) with 5-minute breaks between each period, and a longer break every four Pomodoros.
9.Learn how to say no
This is very important. You can’t say yes to everything and accede to every request, because your time and energy are limited.
Learn how and when to say “No”.
10. Apply the tips listed above
Let’s be honest. If you don’t take the necessary action, you will get any result. It’s simple as that!
So if you want to be more productive, and focused, you need to cutivate those habits into your life. It’s a must.
