Self-awareness is one the important qualities that everyone should embody. Here’s why.

When you want to make positive change in your life, the first thing that you need to do is to be conscious enough with what’s going in your mind, your qualities, your weaknesses, insecurities, so you can make the change works.

Otherwise, if you’re consciousness is weak, you’ll have hard times to create the change, because you’ll still confused.

Simply, self-awareness means understanding yourself. When you do so, it easier to understand other people around you, and your outer environment.

The reason why most people don’t change is because their self-awareness to too low, so they just ignore their emotions, and thoughts believing that there’s no room for change.

Here are my 5 easy, and simple tips to become self-aware:

 

1.Practice mindfulness

I put mindfulness first because it is vital to raise your awareness, so you can be more conscious with what’s going within you and around you.

Most people think that mindfulness is a ritualistic thing, but in reality it’s not. It’s neatly simple.

Practicing mindfulness can be done internally by  being conscious about thoughts, emotions, beliefs inside your head, or in an external way, for example putting your attention to contact of your body with chair, and holding it for a while.

2.Journal your thoughts

Recording your thoughts, feelings, is therapeutic way to leave out all the mind weeds, and mental limitations. It’s overall underestimated, but the benefit is huge.

All when a great idea comes your way, write it down is heavily beneficial to not forget it, and also you’ll leave some space in your mind to get more awesome ideas, and that helps clear the mind too.

You see, journaling is a great tool for elevating your self-awareness but, it’s going to help declutter the mind, and be more productive.

3.Write down your goals

Envisioning what your future goals, dreams, and write them all down, is a powerful way to boost your self-awareness. Probably you’re asking what’s the relation between the two of them?

Well, the act on transferring your thoughts onto paper unleash your wild imagination to come up with the following actions to turn the invisible into visible.

It’s going to force you to be more mindful of the ideas you’re running in your head so you can achieve your aims, and fulfill your dreams.

4.Ask for feedback

If you have hard times to self-diagnose yourself, and things still seem fuzzy, you can reach out for help.

You can ask your parents, intimate friends, brothers, sisters to give you an idea of your strengths, and weakness.

Make sure the respond is completely out of any negative emotion like hate, anger, or type of these feelings.

 

 

5.Look honestly at yourself

Seeing yourself in a deeper level, can be thought for many folks out there, but I think everyone should do that at least in a monthly basis.

I believe no one understands you than YOU.

Being transparent with yourself by listing out your wins, and your losses is critical to raise your self-awareness to a higher degree.

Here are some tips that you can do to increase self-diagnose yourself:

  • Write down the things that you’re good at. That will probably awaken some of the unswerving gifts that you weren’t aware of.
  • List out your accomplishments, and your wins that you’ve had throughout your life.

Also when you do this exercise is going to help you feel tremendously good because you’re disturbing the negative voices in your mind, and energize yourself for a brighter future.
