In this article, I’d like to share with you 5 must-have attributes to be resilient when things are tough.
Life is tough but there is a reason for that.
I believe that life is the best teacher, if we’re are willing to learn the lessons from the bad experiences.
Also I believe that everyone has what it takes to bounce back any hard moment and handle struggles.
but our job is to find it, through consistent work, and steady self-improvement.
The strong people aren’t the ones who always seeking for the easy path, but they’re making the hard things because they know that’s what make them resilient.
All the problems, and the bad things that happen to us are there to teach us something, but more so, to get a solid attitude towards life.
Whether you accept or not, bad things will happen to you and me, but the way how to react, and perceive them, will make the difference.
Positive, and resilient people welcome life with all its positive, and negative.
So, my goal in this blog post is to share with you 5 personal attributes that you need to embody to be resilient, and be strong mentally.
5 Essential Attributes To Be Resilient When Times Are Tough
1.Take full responsibility
If you want to be resilient, the number one attribute is to own any decision you make, whether it’s small, or big.
People who are mentally weak, complaining, and moaning all the time for the silliest things, and they’re always playing the victim role.
Whatever you go, you will find people pointing fingers at others, making excuses, but they don’t know that’s what make them losing their power each second of each day.
How can you victimize yourself, and feel good at the same time? It’s insane…
I want you right now, to own every decision that you’ve made, and every result that you’ve got from those decisions and once you do, you’ll have a sense of control over your life, that going to make you resilient, and strong.
2.Have a positive view of the future
Nurturing an optimistic view of your future is a powerful way to develop a strong mindset towards anything that you bump into. How does it work?
What is the relationship between positive thinking and resiliency?
Here’s the deal. You can’t create big things in life, and remain victimhood mindset, and negative outlook towards life. It’s impossible.
When you recondition your mind to see the good side of things, you’ll be excited, thrilled, get powerful, energized to be able overcome any obstacle that you might hit in the future.

3.Develop a growth mindset
Why some people made it to the top of the staircase, and the majority still stuck in the bottom?
The main separator is how they use their time.
Successful people spend the majority of their time educating themselves, learning, growing, and unfortunately, normal people spend their time on entertaining themselves.
If you want to be resilient, you must first be honest, and careful where you use your time, and spend it on building your new you.
If you’re not reading, investing yourself, you’ll always be under the control of the society’s expectations, and you’ll never be resilient.
4.Be willing to take risks
That’s what afraid most people.
Not willing to take risks in life is one of the biggest obstacles towards resiliency, that’s stems from deep rooted fears, and old experiences that all of us we’ve had.
I believe that life itself is a risky game. Life is uncertain, and it’s built in a way to make more risks so we can find new opportunities.
But yet people are basing their decisions on what’s certain, and secure going against life’s laws which is insecurity, and uncertainty is not part of the game.
If you want to be resilient, and take full control over your life, you need to embrace it with its good and bad, so you can find your wins.
5.Set big targets
That’s frightening for most people.
Just by challenging yourself, and your surroundings to get big stuff in your life, and go for them will help you get rid from the limitations, and that will help to cultivate the kind of resiliency to overcome any hardship.
Most people set goals based on their current capabilities, and that’s a big mistake.
Instead, ask yourself:
- What I need to become in order to make my dreams come true?
- What are the skills that I need to develop?
- What are the materials that I need to consume that will help to get closer to my targets?
Come up with new answers so you can ignite your mind to come up with more solutions, and answers to get where you want to be in life.
