Social media is such a remarkable tool that got us a lot of benefits. Who thought we can comunicate one day with the whole world instantiniously. It’s crazy.
But like anything in life anything has its own good and its own bad.
Unfortunatly, social media trapped a lot of people in some lazy, and unhealthy habits making them unconscious, and fully distracted.
So, in this video below, I’m going to break down 3 ways to stop social media addiction FOR GOOD, if you apply them.
1.Create obstacles between you and the habit of social media
One superb way to obstain yourself from the habit you want to break is to make hard to reach, and create some obstacles between you and this habit.
Let’s say the habit you want to eliminate is to scrowl down your feed staright after you wake up.
The reason you are triggered to do so is your phone that is next to you, because we fall down to the cues around you.
The simple thing you can do is to put your phone somewhere far from your bed, and switch your phone into a plane mode, and if you want to next things to the next level, make it to type in the password before you access to social media.
The objectif is to create blocks of layers that you need break before you can access to the thing wich is social media.
2.Immerse yourself in an activity you love
The second way to stop social media addiction is find a hobby, or something that you would love, and immerse yourself fully in it.
The reason why I recommend that so immensly is because it’s going to keep you focused on the thing that you are working on, which is going to prevent you to be distracted, and be tempted to pick up your phone, and access to your social media plateform.
3.Challenge yourself to not use the phone in a certain times
Another way that I encourage you to do is to stop completly using your phone for certain times.
For example you can take long walks in your favorite place, set the timer, and leave the phone at home, or in your car.
What you will find, after doing that for a long period of time, you become more mindful, and clear which is ultimately will increase your happiness, and well being level.
